Net Metering Information

If you are interested in Net Metering (connecting a power generation device to the electrical grid) there are some things you need to be aware of.  For the State of Michigan's Net Metering law which will go into effect in March 2009, you should visit:

www.mi.gov/netmetering

Your local municipality may also have rules and guidelines in place regarding the construction and installation of electrical devices such as wind turbines or solar panels.  Be sure to check with your local building and zoning office regarding the rules and regulations before making any final decisions.
